Real Estate Slump?

Lately the news media has been reporting on the current so-called slump we are experiencing in the real estate industry due to the turmoils of the secondary finance market and the over-abundance of housing inventory currently on the market.

It seems the more negative the news, the more fear it incorporates in the market.  Remember the story of the chicken who kept crying, “The sky is falling!  The sky is falling!”  By continuing to report the woes of the real estate market, the media is much like that little chicken.

I’d like to report that the real estate market in Middle Tennessee continues to remain strong and vibrant.  I receive emails from people all over the country who are interested in relocating to the Middle Tennessee area.  The lower taxes, insurance costs, good job market, and the overall cost of living continue to provide ample reasons for people to consider Tennessee as their new home.  I prefer to keep a more optimistic outlook on the current real estate market.  I hope you will, as well.
